The best way I can describe days like this is that my hair hurts.

We’re not incredibly smart. We’re moderately old.
The kids are tired, the air is cold, and we’re way too far away from our starting point.
Without them, I would wallow in my own mind during times when my own mind is the most dangerous place to wallow in.
