The Unexpectant Father

I never know what fatherhood surprises are lurking around the corner.

I never dreamed he’d play such a pivotal role in my home, but here he is.

They’re my song inspirations and my entire captive studio audience.

Don’t do what I do. I won’t do what you do. We do what’s right for our families.

Sometimes within minutes of posting, I turn around and do the exact opposite thing in my own life. Yeah. Exact opposite. Hi Blog. I’m Hypocrite.

My non-verbal son with autism has always been fiercely anti-mask…although not for a political reason.

Distance learning wasn’t made for children like my boy and, even when he was on task, he wasn’t actually taking in new information.

This kid is made of steel. He’s like a Batman villain.

Say their names and I see a snapshot from long ago. Their ages far exceed my my memories.

Hell hath no fury like an escaped Daddy Longlegs.
