Special Needs Aren’t Always The Most Difficult

Please don’t tell my wife and daughter, but on a day-to-day basis, my son is usually the easiest one in the house to handle.

I wanted to write some of them down here so I have them. And, in case I’m not around one day, she does too.

You don’t need to spend money to make them happen. You don’t even have to leave your house.

I don’t know what anyone’s life is truly like when they close the door at night. Neither do you.

Those items we give them and their reactions, in the moment, mean nothing. Those things are just temporary.

Whether someone can respond in the traditional sense or not, it doesn’t affect the vital role that the people who love them play in their lives.

I know many people don’t see this side of him and, to be honest, that makes it all the more special.

If you don’t have at least a few moments in life where your kid really dislikes you, then you’re dropping the ball.

I pulled all the walls down and spoke to them as plainly as possible. I wasn’t hiding anything about who he is.

Whether your child is entering school this year or has been there for years, your role in their advancement can’t be overstated.
