The world needs more people who have grown-up confidence in the things they know and youthful desire to question what they don’t.
Being tired as a grown up is a sign that you matter. You’ve created a life where you’re needed.
You’re not perfect. You’re not awful. You just are.
It was as if my body was sounding an alarm.
To a person with children, that sentence can actually be pretty terrifying.
I remember it all. Every trip and fall, every stumble down the low road, I have it all filed away in my head.
Just as you can convince yourself that life is miserable, you can do the opposite.
Had you told me five years ago that I would be writing this blog today, I would never have believed you.
Not only do things change, but people do. I did. You probably have too.
Of course, if you asked, I would have told you I was a “realist”. That’s the term that someone uses to dance around the fact that they’re really a self-hating pessimist.
