Chill, Little Man, Chill

There’s always a pressing issue that needs his attention in another room.

Oh, Snap! Remember Nostalgia?

The days of smoking in the mall, downing an Orange Julius, and watching Dr. Huxtable examine women in his basement have all come to an end.

He’s succeeded at things I never dreamed possible – things that experts never dreamed possible. He’s not only persevered, he’s crushed it.

Even if I convince them of the truth today, they’ll just believe another lie tomorrow.

Nebulizer? Medicine? What? What does this kid need? Even if he could speak, I might not know.

I may have enlightenment, but that’s a very different thing than having control.

It filled me with pride. I like to think that he shared in that feeling too. He earned it.

When it comes to agreeable attire, they don’t get much cooler than my non-verbal son.

People assume we are born this way. Our Dadness starts on day one.

As I write it out though, it becomes more obvious that this isn’t an Autism story.
