I Guess He Does That Now

It filled me with pride. I like to think that he shared in that feeling too. He earned it.

When it comes to agreeable attire, they don’t get much cooler than my non-verbal son.

People assume we are born this way. Our Dadness starts on day one.

As I write it out though, it becomes more obvious that this isn’t an Autism story.

Don’t tell me what cool is. I know what cool is.

My biggest fear was how I could protect my non-verbal son without being by his side constantly.

Maybe one day, he’ll tell us what is holding him back from using his voice. Maybe he won’t.
